Saturday Trail Work Rolling Along
Nineteen came out for the Friday night six-pack at Road Hollow and EIGHTEEN came out Saturday morning to dial in sweet new trail on Narrowback! So awesome. Trail Dynamics‘ Ed Sutton, Shrimper, and Moto Mike came out on their DAY OFF from making us fantastic new trail under the RTP grant to work some more with us in the woods. (By the way, Moto Mike broke his winning streak on Rode Hollow–>congratulations Carpenter, ye who can barely stand but who still crushes.) There IS SO MUCH MORE TRAIL UP THERE than there was a week ago during the Festival, and it is outstanding trail. Joel, our fearless leader, pushed a heavy, unstable cart on a quarter-mile “short cut” through impassable brush, and then pushed a lot of big rocks around. Kathleen, visiting for the weekend from getting even smarter at Emory in Atlanta, came out too, just cause she’s awesome. Marcia had already started her post trail-work ride when the lady’s picture was taken, so we actually had seven women, yahoo. Shrimper (the rock whisperer) said that we in the Burg have “magic dirt and fabulous rock.” Thanks everyone. Two more Saturday trail works this fall – October 20 and 27.
