Help Harrisonburg’s New School be Bike and Ped Friendly

Help Harrisonburg’s New School be Bike and Ped Friendly

May 16, 2013 Updates 1

You are invited to attend an open, public meeting about how we can work to ensure bike and pedestrian infrastructure from day 1 at the newly proposed middle school.  The middle school’s location will make biking/walking very difficult to do, especially in a safe way, without infrastructure from the beginning.

Planning to Bike on Opening Day!

Thursday, 5/16 from 7-8 pm at the Massanutten Regional Public Library.

This is an open, public meeting for all people interested in planning and funding safe ways for Harrisonburg City Public Schools kids & staff to walk and bike to the proposed new middle school on opening day and beyond.

If can’t make this meeting but would  like more information or be more involved please contact Margot Zehner: margotzahner@gmail.com or Thomas Jenkins: tj@shenandoahbicycle.com

Schools should have bike racks and biking/walking paths for students and faculty.

I think that is this an amazing idea, I have seen it used in may other states an it works beautifully.
