brushing

Trail Work missions in the George Washington National Forest.

Where: 9am at the Wolf Ridge Trail Parking Lot (Click for Google Driving Directions) to brush Hearthstone Ridge Trail

Why: Hearthstone Ridge is overgrown and needs our love. Plus, the hours you spend on this trail will count as match for our Recreational Trails Program Grant. Your labor is worth about $26 an hour. Don’t have time to volunteer? You can always DONATE in lieu of trail work.

When: Sunday October 23 or Sunday October 30

What: We supply the tools and safety equipment. We will drive everyone to the top so that we can work downhill. Bring: gloves, long pants, boots, long sleeve shirt, plus food and water.

For those who are new to or don’t know the area, I think a map showing the trail/parking lot would be helpful.
