Beer for Bucks and with Bands!
This weekend (Saturday, September 15) will bring the second year of Jeremiah Bishop’s Alpine Loop Gran Fondo. Last year, the Bishop Family Foundation was very generous in their gift to the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition, giving $2,700 to the SVBC with the goal of helping to expand bicycle infrastructure in Harrisonburg.
This year the Grand Fondo will have beer as part of the finish line festivities. The SVBC will be the sole beneficiary of beer proceeds and is working in conjunction with New Belgium Brewery. Beers on had will be New Belgium’s Ranger, Fat Tire, and Shift.
Come hang out and listen to live music and watch riders finish the hardest Gran Fondo in the country. Everyone is welcome whether you ride or not. Look for the White SVBC trailer under the Turner Pavilion (site of the Farmer’s Market).
Shifts are as follows:
Times: 2:00-4:00 and 4:00-6:00
Location: Turner Pavilion
Duties: Serve beer/check IDs/stock beer
If you would like to volunteer then please email Kyle ASAP!
