City Seeking New Bike-Ped Subcommittee Members
Two (2) Bicycle and Pedestrian Subcommittee seats are up for appointment for the term beginning January 1, 2015 and ending December 31, 2018 2017. The Transportation Safety and Advisory Commission is seeking applications for subcommittee members. Applications are due on November 15, 2014 and are to be submitted to Thanh Dang at Thanh.Dang@harrisonburgva.gov or by fax to 540-434-2695. If you have applied in previous years, please submit a new application.

I’m 78 years old, moving in December to Sunnyside Retirement Community, from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Here we have 37 miles of 10′ wide concrete Greenway paths built since 1993. I’ve been on the Greenway Committee for 20 years & want to get involved in non-motorized travel in Harrisonburg area. Hope I can help!

Sunnyside Retirement Community, despite having a Harrisonburg mailing address, is located in Rockingham County.
