- Tues. September 10, 5pm-7pm
- Sat. September 14, 12noon-2pm

Volunteers should plan for 20-30 minutes before and after count times to pick up and drop off materials and get to their count site.
If this is your first time volunteering for the Bicycle & Pedestrian Count, you must attend a 1-hour training on either Tuesday August 27 or Tuesday September 3 from 6-7pm.
If you can volunteer to help out on one or more of these dates/times, please contact Thanh Dang at thanh.dang [at] harrisonburgva.gov with your name, phone number, and preferred count date/time/location. Feel free to invite a buddy to count at the same location with you!

These counts will help Harrisonburg and Rockingham County measure changes in the number of people biking and walking, and whether improvements are needed or should be prioritized at these count sites. The local counts will also become a part of the National Bicycle & Pedestrian Documentation Project‘s national database of biking and walking trends.
Many thanks from the count organizers Thanh Dang, Rhonda Cooper, Brad Reed, and James May, staff from City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County!
*8/1/13 Correction: The Sunday September 15 count was incorrectly listed as 7am-9am and has been updated to a 9am-11am count.
