What a Year!
What a Year!
2013 was amazing but we need your help to make 2014 even better
The Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition has had a busy busy year. We launched a new website, transitioned to a web-based membership system, held the second Harrisonburg & Rockingham Bike-Walk Summit, Completed construction of new trails in the National Forest with a $150,000 federal grant, secured an extension of $100,000 more for trails, helped fund a portion of the Rockingham County Bike/Pedestrian plan study, bought bikes for area schools, and much more.
What else did we do? Helped the Northend Greenway with their Spring campaign by matching up to $3,500, continued our celebration of dirt roads with the Harris-Roubaix, helped organize the largest and most eventful Bike Month in our region’s history, continued our fall event tradition with the 32nd annual Shenandoah Valley Century and the 17th annual Mountain Bike Festival.
Help make our piece of the world even greater: Join/Renew your membership and Donate to Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition today.
Over the past few weeks, Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition looked back at our work in 2013, and we accomplished some incredible things this year. Our new web-based membership system is a huge improvement and we hope you will check on your membership status so that we can achieve 500 members by January 1, 2014.
Make a difference for biking in the Shenandoah Valley
In 2014 we can do even more but we need your support.
We need your membership to further biking in our area. When we go and speak with local government officials and decision makers everyone wants to know who we represent. Our members matter and provide the bedrock of our support. Already a member but want to do more? Donating is easy and will help us further our goals to improve biking and walking in our area: make a donation to Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition today.
Thank you and all our partners for a wonderful year,
Kyle Lawrence
President of the Board of Directors
